Gooprep Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy

This Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy outlines the ownership, usage rights, and protection of all intellectual property related to the Gooprep platform. It applies to all users, including students, parents, tutors, contractors, and third-party partners.

  1. Platform Ownership and Branding
Gooprep retains exclusive rights to all branding and proprietary assets associated with the platform. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • The Gooprep name, logo, tagline, and other brand identifiers
  • Website and mobile app design, layout, and user interface
  • Proprietary software code, algorithms, architecture, and backend systems
  • All digital content developed internally by Gooprep

These elements are protected under Ghanaian copyright and trademark laws, as well as applicable international treaties. Unauthorized reproduction, use, or distribution of these assets is strictly prohibited.

  1. Tutor Content and Licensing
Tutors using Gooprep may upload original educational content including, but not limited to:
  • Video introductions
  • Teaching materials
  • Lesson plans, notes, worksheets
  • Recorded sessions (if permitted)

Tutors retain full ownership of their original works. However, by uploading or sharing content through the Gooprep platform, tutors grant Gooprep a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, and worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting or security purposes), distribute, and publicly display the content in connection with the operation and promotion of the platform.

Tutors must ensure that all uploaded content:

  • Is their own original work or they have full rights and permissions to use it
  • Does not infringe on the copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights of any third party

Gooprep reserves the right to remove any content that violates intellectual property rights or platform standards.

  1. Third-Party Content and Integration
From time to time, Gooprep may incorporate third-party tools, software, or educational materials into the platform. These are governed by the intellectual property terms of their respective owners and are used under license or with permission.

Users are not permitted to download, distribute, or modify third-party content unless explicitly authorized.

  1. Trademark Registration and Legal Protection
Gooprep actively protects its trademarks and intellectual property through official registration in Ghana and other jurisdictions as needed. Legal action may be taken against any individual or entity that infringes on Gooprep’s intellectual property.

  1. Reporting Infringements
